Happy 2023!
A new year reminds me to pause and reflect on the past year and dream, plan and set some goals for the year ahead. I wasn’t able to do as much art in 2022 as I hoped. I did however get some time to learn more about painting and as time would allow, completed a limited number of commissions.
Wishing everyone all the best in 2023. Dream big, laugh lots, be healthy and may you find success and happiness in your year ahead.
Featured in COLOR Magazine
My “Pacific Tree Frog” is featured in the May 2022 issue of Ann Kullberg’s COLOR Magazine! I am honoured to have my artwork included alongside the work of amazing international artists in this well put together American publication of the work of coloured pencil artists from all over the world!
CP Treasures 8 - Artwork chosen for book series!
I am thrilled to announce that one of my coloured pencil pieces was selected for inclusion in Ann Kullberg’s “CP Treasures 8”!
“The CP Treasures book series is like a time capsule of what's happening in the world of coloured pencils right now! 112 out of 800 entries were selected for inclusion in the eighth volume of this highly esteemed and well-loved series that has chronicled the growth, diversity and beauty of coloured pencil art since 2012. Originally introduced to pick up where the "The Best of Colored Pencil" books left off, the Treasures series is now beloved by the coloured pencil community as a place to be seen, celebrated and counted among the best.”
Congratulations to all the artists from around the globe who were selected to have their artwork included. Thank you to Ann Kullberg and her team for including my artwork in this publication.
Print copies available on Ann Kullberg’s website and Amazon.

I took the leap and submitted my artwork and application to the Federation of Canadian Artists (FCA). I am happy to share that I was successfully juried into Active Membership Status!
In my application I submitted coloured pencil, pastel and acrylic pieces. Consistency in style of work is more important than diversity in medium so I am extra pleased to have been juried in using 3 mediums.
FCA is the largest non-profit visual arts organization in Canada. I am honoured to become an Active Member!

For the September issue I created a “Pacific Tree Frog” tutorial. The reference picture is my own. I captured this little guy with my camera last year sunning himself on our zucchini plant. I find these little frogs so interesting.
